Take A Chance on You

October 29, 2015

The holidays will be here sooner than I would like, that means busy months ahead for me, but I'm doing something I love “Photography”, and that makes a big difference in my life.  About 3 years ago I was working in a office and bored to death knowing deep inside I wanted to go back to school and learn more of digital photography (since I started with film), and I also wanted to be my own boss.  One day I decided to type up my two weeks notice, I place them neatly on all the supervisors’ desk and smile to myself, thinking, "I'm really doing this".  That was the best move I have ever done, most people can't do it because of financial reasons or just afraid of change.   I am blessed to be an Army Retiree and have another form of finance coming to me each month, if I didn’t it would have taken me longer to type up that notice.  I still had a child in high school at that time and I was a single parent, family first; doing what I love second.

Today I can say I am happy with my decision, I’m happy with my life, business is going great and I am at a point in my life I want to do and be better than great! My daughter is now on her own, my focus is now just me, myself and I, let’s see how great I can be, not just with my photography but with my inner self.

With that being said; whatever your reason is for not leaving your job; follow your heart and your dreams.  It may get hard at times but don’t give up on you!  Life is full of chances, take them, live the life you want to live, you have the control no one else has it, only you.
